We hope you took the over tonight…
The No. 7 Volunteers are rolling in Saturday’s pre-SEC tune-up vs. Kent State. Tennessee poured it on early and often with a five TD first quarter that also included a safety four minutes into the game.
Running back Dylan Sampson led the way with four scores, while fellow backfield mate DeSean Bishop chipped in another two and three different receivers added touchdowns of their own.
Fans did a double-take at the score on social media:

“65-0 at the half is insane,” shared DraftKings Sportsbook.
“Most points in a half in Tennessee Football’s modern era,” the school said.
“Tennessee’s 28 points in the second quarter against Kent State are the most the Vols have scored in a quarter since they had 37 in the first quarter against Kent State on September 14, 2024,” a user commented.
“Kent State needs to find somebody that can read and sue Tennessee immediately,” a fan replied.
“I don’t want to get ahead of myself but Tennessee might already be the greatest team in the history of football,” Chad Withrow posted.
“At this point tennessee gotta go for the record right?” another person asked. “Classless is nothing. If you don’t wanna get cooked, stop them.”
Should the Vols go for 100? Josh Heupel was already attempting (and recovering) onsides up 30.
