The highlight of Tennessee’s 2022 season had to be its overtime win over Alabama.
Hendon Hooker was outstanding against the Crimson Tide, completing 21-of-30 pass attempts for 385 yards with five touchdowns and an interception. He also had 56 rushing yards on 14 carries.
During an interview with Hooker, we asked him about Tennessee’s 52-49 win against Alabama. He revealed the first thought going through his head after knocking off the SEC powerhouse.
Believe it or not, Hooker was mainly concerned about his family’s dinner reservations.
“Well, it was my dad’s birthday. So I was thinking, ‘Man are we going to be able to make the reservation to the restaurant.’ The game was taking so long, so I figured we’d hit so much traffic,” Hooker told The Spun. “But really, I just thought that we should celebrate the win that night and then quickly move on to the next one. You can’t dwell on success or failure.”

Hooker solidified himself as a Tennessee legend with his performance against Alabama.
Once Hooker recovers from his torn ACL, there’ll be plenty of Tennessee fans cheering him on while he’s in Detroit.
