Jonas Aidoo returns to Knoxville.
SEC play has arrived, and the undefeated Tennessee Volunteers remain as the top-ranked team in the land. Tennessee is 13-0 on the year to this point, set to open up conference play against the 11-2 Arkansas Razorbacks.
Arkansas head coach John Calipari has a completely rebuilt roster, led by former Kentucky guard Adou Thiero and true freshman Boogie Fland. Former FAU star Johnell Davis is also in the rotation, along with former Tennessee center Jonas Aidoo.
The former Volunteer struggled to find minutes early in the season, but he’s come on strong over the last month. Aidoo has played over 22 minutes in four of the last five games, so expect to see plenty of him against Tennessee’s thin frontcourt.
The loaded SEC tips off with a bang today, featuring Florida at Kentucky, Oklahoma at Alabama, Texas at Texas A&M, and of course, Arkansas at Tennessee.
