A tricky one.
Tennessee is on the road again tonight for a late one against LSU. The Volunteers, coming off of a huge road win at Texas A&M on Saturday afternoon, moved up to No. 5 in the latest AP poll. Through all the ups and downs of SEC play, Tennessee still has a shot to pull a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
First things first — a tricky spot tonight. Tennessee heads to LSU, who sits just 3-11 in conference play. Coming off of a huge win, going on the road, looking ahead to Alabama on Saturday…. Tennessee needs to be careful here.
LSU has actually won two of their last three (at Oklahoma, South Carolina). They’re coming off of a 14-point road loss to Florida over the weekend. KenPom ranks them as the 80th overall team in the country. Tennessee remains ranked 5th.
