The first of two games for the Vols in the Bahamas.
The Tennessee Volunteers are set for their first of two games in the Bahamas. Tennessee, the No. 11 team in the latest AP top 25 poll, will open with Virginia late tonight. Rick Barnes’ squad has been impressive in the first four games, particularly in their lone road test. They’ll get another couple of tests away from home over the next two nights.
Tennessee and Virginia are joined by Baylor and St. John’s in the four-team tournament. The winners will advance to face each other on Friday night, while the losers will play a consolation game before.
Virginia is 3-0 so far this season moving on from Tony Bennett, who retired just before the season began. Ron Sanchez will coach this team this season as the interim.
