Tennessee has one of the loudest stadiums in the country in Neyland Stadium and it was on full display this past Saturday against Alabama.
Vols fans were going nuts during the game and it resulted in the Vols taking down the Crimson Tide in the final seconds of the fourth quarter. Vols fans also stormed the field after the win.
However, there have been some people saying that some of the fan noise was fake and Vols head coach Josh Heupel isn’t happy about it.
“Neyland doesn’t need anything fake piped into the stadium for that to be the loudest place in America. Hopefully, our fans take that personally,” Heupel said.
Heupel wants Vols fans to show those people that they have no clue what they’re talking about and their next chance of that will come on November 2 against the Kentucky Wildcats. The Vols are off for their bye week this weekend before taking on the Wildcats.
They’ll then have another shot at showing people that they’re wrong when the Bulldogs of Mississippi State on November 9.
The Vols are 6-1 overall to start the season and are No. 7 in the latest AP Poll. They’re in a great position to contend for the SEC title and a spot in the College Football Playoff.
