Assistant coach Jenna Burdette will be leading the team tonight in Austin, as the Lady Vols travel to face Texas. It is unclear when Caldwell plans to return to the sideline.
The Lady Vols are 15-3 on the year after starting perfect in non-conference play. Tennessee has since gone 3-3 in conference play, currently ranked 17th in the latest AP Top 25 poll. After losing in the final seconds to Vanderbilt over the weekend, the Lady Vols are a projected No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament, according to Charlie Creme.
Tennessee will face No. 7 Texas tonight, then return home for a big one — No. 2 South Carolina will come to town on Monday night.
