Rueben Chinyelu, a 6-foot-10 big-man in the class of 2023, is down to five schools: Tennessee, Florida, Rutgers, Washington State, and Santa Clara.
Chinyelu, who hails from the eastern part of Nigeria, has visited each of these schools within the past two months.
“I’m looking at schools that have a good academic system and good basketball,” he told ZAGSBLOG at the NBA Academy Games. “We’ll cross that bridge (of a decision) when we get there.”
He does not have a current timetable for a commitment, but a decision from Chinyelu is expected soon.
The 18-year-old made his debut for the Nigerian Senior National Team back in late August.
