During the first quarter of the Texas A&M-Tennessee game, the officials missed a blatant facemask that would’ve given the Aggies a fresh set of downs.
As Texas A&M running back Le’Veon Moss was trying to get to the edge, Tennessee defensive lineman Tyler Baron grabbed his facemask. It was obvious to everyone but the officials at Neyland Stadium.
CBS Sports broadcaster Brad Nessler was baffled by this missed call, and rightfully so.
“That is a facemask,” Nessler said. “… I don’t know how he missed that. But at any rate, no flag.”

Fortunately for Texas A&M, this missed call wasn’t a costly one. Max Johnson was able to score a touchdown on the very next play.
If Texas A&M is going to upset Tennessee this Saturday afternoon, it’ll need Johnson and the offense to keep converting in the red zone.
