The Tennessee Volunteers may need to study a map of the United States once the NCAA Tournament is over.
Ahead of its Sweet 16 matchup against Creighton, the Tennessee basketball team was asked where Omaha is located. Let’s just say that question stumped several players.
Tennessee guard Zakai Zegler immediately conceited defeat when asked that question.
“Idaho? I don’t know,” Zegler said. “I have no idea. Where is that?”
Overall, only three players on Tennessee’s roster were able to determine that Omaha is a city in Nebraska. Dalton Knecht was one of those players on the right side of this challenge.
Here’s the segment from Clayton Collier of 6 News WOWT:
Where is Omaha?
Somewhere in the middle of America.
I asked the Tennessee Volunteers to find it for me on the map ahead of playing Creighton in tomorrow’s Sweet 16. Here are the results.

Some fans couldn’t believe how bad the Tennessee basketball team is at knowing the geography of the United States.
“How can you make it to college and not know where the 50 states are,” one fan asked on social media.
“Sad how bad our education system is,” another fan said.
Tennessee will face Creighton this Friday at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. Tipoff is set for 10:09 p.m. ET.
Rick Barnes is hoping to take Tennessee to the Elite Eight for the first time since taking over in 2015.
