The Volunteers have been after him for a while.
Following his latest visit to Knoxville, three-star running back Duane Morris has flipped to Tennessee. The Murfreesboro, Tennessee native had been committed to USC since early April, but the Volunteers came on strong in recent months. On Monday night, that work paid off.

Morris was in town a few weeks again for the Kentucky game, then returned for his official visit during the UTEP homecoming weekend. The in-state prospect checks in at 5-10, 185 pounds and ranks at the 16th overall prospect in the state of Tennessee. Morris ranks 498th nationally in the class of 2025, per the 247Sports Composite rankings.
With Morris, Tennessee lands their 25th commitment of the cycle. He joins three-star running back Justin Baker in the class, who committed over a year ago. The two form a duo behind true freshman Peyton Lewis, who figures to be the future of the Tennessee backfield.
Morris plans on enrolling early and joining Tennessee over the next few weeks. The early signing period has been moved up this year due to the expansion of the College Football Playoff.
Tennessee now holds the 7th ranked class in the country, per 247Sports.
