If you haven’t heard of Tennessee wide receiver Squirrel White before today, he could be on the verge of etching his name into Volunteers history against Alabama.
On Tennessee’s opening drive against the Crimson Tide, the Vols had the ball at Alabama’s 39-yard line on 1st-and-10. With a deep shot downfield, Tennessee quarterback Joe Milton in the direction of White, who had a step on an Alabama defender.
Amazingly, White fully extended his body and just managed to reel in the ball before dragging his feet into and through the endzone for a touchdown.
The catch has gone viral with CBS’s video garnering over 25,000 views on X in just over 20 minutes. Fans could hardly believe their eyes:

“Maybe the catch the year,” one user said.
“Milton generating so much zip with a little flick of the wrist without really stepping into throws will always impress me,” wrote another.
“Tennessee can ball,” a third wrote.
They certainly can. But they’ll need more than one touchdown in order to keep Alabama from getting the win…
