Tennessee will get their chance to make an impression.
A name we’ve heard about for a couple of weeks now is set to visit Knoxville and take a look at the campus of Tennessee. Elyjah Freeman, a wing coming off of his freshman season at D-2 Lincoln Memorial, will visit the Volunteers after getting a visit from Rick Barnes himself on Friday.
He told Auburn’s On3 site the news over the weekend.
Lincoln Memorial transfer Elyjah Freeman told @AuburnLiveOn3 that he’s planning a Tennessee visit. He was at Auburn this weekend and has also been to Indiana.
Averaged 19.3 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists as a freshman in Division II.

The 6-8 small forward averaged nearly 20 points as a true freshman this season for Lincoln Memorial. He shot 46 percent from three-point range while also adding 9.3 rebounds per game.
Kentucky, Dayton, Auburn and Indiana have all shown interest to this point in Freeman.
Tennessee has starting spots available following the graduation of several key contributors. Rick Barnes has already replaced Zakai Zeigler with former Maryland point guard Ja’Kobi Gillespie. He’s added to the front court with former Vanderbilt power forward Jaylen Carey. Now it’s all about guards and wings, and most importantly, replacing a ton of exiting shooting with Chaz Lanier, Jordan Gainey, Igor Milicic and Darlinstone Dubar all exiting.
The Volunteers are also in on Gillespie’s teammate from Maryland, Rodney Rice, who visited Knoxville over this weekend.
Five-star prospect Nate Ament is also one to watch over the next 14 days as Tennessee has made a big late push. They’re fighting for a commitment there against Duke, Kentucky, Louisville and Arkansas and that outcome will go a long way towards determining what the staff will have left in way of NIL funds.
