The city of Nashville, Tennessee is the site of the SEC Media Days this year and Music City made sure to welcome the Southeastern Conference representatives in a unique way.
Pictures have been going viral of a unique change to a traffic light at the corner of Broadway and Rep. John Lewis Way S/N. The light features the red, yellow and green, but changed so that each color spells out the letters “S-E-C.”
Jokes quickly poured in about the number of traffic accidents that changing the lights like that might cause.
But officer I thought you could turn right on S?? https://t.co/UyGU1FF2cA

Me blowing through the light and saying I didn’t see a red light, just an oddly placed red hovering S to the officer

Meanwhile, fans in the ACC are lamenting that their conference doesn’t have something like this for their upcoming meetings in Charlotte, North Carolina.
I’ve never seen this in Charlotte……… https://t.co/3z8IJQdUIb

If we’re not greeted next week in Charlotte with A C C stoplights, is the league even trying anymore?
“Jim, what can you tell us about the conference’s decision not to brand the traffic lights?” https://t.co/omhogOx8Y7

Nashville loves itself some SEC football and is always happy to roll out the red carpet.
(Now if only they weren’t stuck with perpetual minnow Vanderbilt as their football representative…)
What other fun tributes to the SEC has the city made these past few days?
