NHL Predictions
Montreal Canadiens vs Buffalo Sabres
Time: 12:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)
TV: MSG; TSN2; ESPN+
Our first and featured game of NHL predictions is an Atlantic Division meeting between the Habs and Sabres. Cayden Primeau is the confirmed starter for Montreal, which has lost six straight games. Cole Caufield leads the team in goals with 10 while Nick Suzuki is first in assists (9) and points (13) for Montreal.
Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen is the projected starter for Buffalo. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. The Sabres have won three consecutive games and have gotten back to .500. Tage Thompson is the team’s leader in goals (10) and points (17) for Buffalo. Captain Rasmus Dahlin is first on the team with assists with nine.
Note the early start time to set your fantasy lineups and wagers. Montreal is hoping for an up-and-down game, but Buffalo has been playing better as of late.
Prediction: Sabres win 3-2.
San Jose sharks vs Philadelphia Flyers
Time: 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)
TV: NBC Sports California; NBC Sports Philadelphia; ESPN+
Our second game of NHL predictions has the San Jose Sharks visiting the Philadelphia Flyers. San Jose is coming off a 1-0 shutout victory over the New Jersey Devils. Vitek Vanecek is the expected starter in this game for the Sharks. Mikael Granlund leads San Jose in goals (6), assists (10) and points (16) so far this season.
Samuel Ersson is the projected starter for the Flyers, who are coming off a hard-fought loss to the Florida Panthers. Travis Konecny is the team-leader in goals (7), assists (9) and points (16) for the Flyers. Philadelphia is 1-9-1 this season when allowing three or more goals.
The Sharks will be feeling good, but it will be hard to come off a back-to-back.
Prediction: Flyers win 3-2.
Nashville Predators vs Colorado Avalanche
Head-to-Head: Predators 1-0 Avalanche
Time: 9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)
TV: Altitude; Fan Duel Sports South; ESPN+
Our final game of NHL predictions has the Nashville Predators take on the Colorado Avalanche. Juuse Saros is the expected starter for the Predators, who had great expectations going into the season. Filip Forsberg is first on the club in goals (8) and points (13). However, Roman Josi is first on the Predators in assists with nine.
Alexandar Georgiev is the probable starter for the Avalanche, who also have a world of expectations on them. Mikko Rantanen is tied for the team lead in goals with eight. However, co-leader Ross Colton is still out with a broken foot. Nathan MacKinnon is first on the team in assists (22) and points (29).
Nashville got the win earlier in the season with a 5-2 victory. Colorado is a solid team, but the goaltending could be an issue.
Prediction: Predators win 4-3.
