The Tennessee Titans have the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft and the entire league is buzzing with what they are going to do. Will they keep the pick or trade it? Who will they select if they keep it? What would it take for them to trade it?
Titans’ legendary running back, Eddie George, likes both Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders. As the head coach at Tennessee State, he faced Sanders when he played for Jackson State. After acknowledging the talent and athleticism of Hunter and admitting he’s a generational talent, George said that the Titans should consider their biggest need and had high praise for Sanders.
“Sheduer’s pregame workout, his preparation reeked of professionalism,” George said. “He was out there maybe 45 minutes before the game warming up with his headphones on going through his routine. You could tell that he had great habits. When we played against him he was very, very decisive. He knows where to go with the ball. That ball comes off of his hand like no other.”
In his two wins over Tennessee State, Sanders completed 60-of-84 passes with four touchdowns and no interceptions.
The consensus around the league is that Miami’s Cam Ward is the top quarterback in this draft, but the Titans have to decide if they agree, and if either of the two players is a fit in Nashville.
