Titans trade down to add extra picks.
The Tennessee Titans had said early in the process that they wanted to add picks in this draft. After sticking and picking Cam Ward with the first pick, they moved down in the second round to pick up a third round pick they now have picks 52 and 82. That replaces the third round pick they treated to the Kansas City Chiefs last off-season for L’Jarius Sneed.
Of course the trade-off here is that they had to move down almost 20 picks to pick up the third rounder. How many of the receivers and edge rushers will still be available at that point? But at the end of the day, they need more talented players on the team so the move makes sense.
I wouldn’t hate another trade down at some point tonight to add another pick in the third round. As we know, this team needs help all over the field.
