A roundup of the news from the first day of Senior Bowl practices
The festivities at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama kicked off yesterday with the first day of practices. The Tennessee Titans are heavily represented down there. Jim Wyatt has a roundup of everything Brian Callahan said when he talked to the media. He talked about staff changes that have already happened and another one that could happen with quarterbacks coach Bo Hardegree interviewing for the Chicago Bears offensive coordinator job:
“He’s (Hardegree) not long for us, I think,” Callahan said. “We’re lucky to have him. He’ll be a coordinator sooner than later, he’s more than qualified for that job. I’m just excited that he’s not going to Chicago at least, and hopefully we’ll have him for another year.”
If you aren’t already, you should be following Turron Davenport on Twitter. He posted a ton of videos from the work yesterday.
Easton Freeze of AtoZ sports also had a roundup of things said by both Callahan and new Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi mainly focused on what the Titans are looking for in their next quarterback.
One of the winners from day one was Miami tight end Elijah Arroyo. While tight end is pretty far down on the list of things the Titans need, they will be looking to add playmakers at every level this offseason.
Zach Lyons of 104.5 The Zone and Football and other F Words fame posted a recap of day 1 action:
