The 2025 NFL Scouting Combine is taking place in Indianapolis from February 24 to March 3. The Tennessee Titans will be a focal point of attention as owners of the No. 1 overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The combine represents a terrific opportunity for the Titans to spend quality time with prospects, quarterbacks included. They’ve already met privately with Shedeur Sanders at this year’s East-West Shrine Bowl. Sanders unfortunately won’t be throwing at the combine. We’re awaiting word on Cam Ward’s participation, but the expectation is he won’t throw either. The week-long festivities in Indy represent the Titans’ first chance to meet with Ward in person, and they’ll certainly take advantage.
Ward and Sanders are no-brainers for Titans meetings. There will be other mid-round QB prospects the Titans should analyze in Indy. We’ve identified three of them.
Kyle McCord, Syracuse
Kyle McCord was arguably the most impressive quarterback performer at this year’s collegiate all-star circuit, displaying accuracy and poise at the East-West Shrine Bowl. McCord was absolutely dynamic for the Orange offense this past season after transferring in from a failed stint at Ohio State, throwing for 4,779 yards and 34 touchdowns. There’s intrigue in analyzing his performance in Indy.
Tyler Shough, Louisville
Injuries derailed a sizable portion of Tyler Shough’s college football career. After facing adversity at both Oregon and Texas Tech, the Chandler, Arizona native found himself at Louisville this past season. Shough threw for 23 touchdowns and 3,195 yards. He’s an expert at maneuvering the pocket, extending plays to make off-script plays. He’s an older prospect given the medical redshirts, but age matters little at quarterback compared to other position groups.
Will Howard, Ohio State
Will Howard transferred in from Kansas State and immediately led Ohio State to a National Championship, ending their title drought. Howard was dynamic, throwing for 4,010 yards and 35 touchdowns. He completed more than 80 percent of his passes with two touchdowns in the National Championship win over Notre Dame, and teams are intrigued by his ability to play quality football on the biggest stage.
