Analyst believes Titans could trade out of the No. 1 pick

February 9, 2025 by Titans Wire

While the NFL draft does not take place until April, many analysts love to speculate about what they’ve heard or what they think the Tennessee Titans will do with their first pick.

The Titans have shared little about their intentions, only stating that they will not pass up a generational talent. Sitting here today before the combine, interviews, or pro day workouts, it is hard to tell whether that player exists.

Yes, players like Cam Ward, Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter and Abdul Carter are popular names to connect to Tennessee, but again, this is all speculation.

One analyst thinks the Titans may go a different route with that selection.

It’s hard to debate Graziano’s take. The Titans roster does have some huge holes that must be filled before they can truly become Super Bowl contenders. With free agency on the horizon, they may be able to fill some of those, but there is no guarantee they will go that direction after their $228 million spending spree blew up in their face in 2024.

While Tennessee may choose to make a selection with the first pick, a trade out of the spot may fit the bill in this case if they aren’t sold on any of the top prospects. This may not be what many fans want to see, but it might be the best move in a draft full of uncertainty surrounding the depth of the class.

Everyone should find out a lot more in the coming weeks with the NFL Combine on the horizon. Between the player interviews and workouts, a lot of information will come out that will help give a better understanding of what teams are thinking as they populate their draft boards.
