While it appears that Antonio Pierce may not be taking over as full-time head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, another NFL team will give him a chance to prove himself and interview for a top job.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Tennessee Titans have requested to interview Pierce for their vacant head coaching position. The Titans fired head coach Mike Vrabel on Tuesday.
“The #Titans have requested to interview #Raiders interim coach Antonio Pierce for their vacant head coaching job, source said. Las Vegas may have some competition,” Rapoport wrote.
Pierce went 5-4 as interim head coach of the Raiders after the team fired Josh McDaniels following a 3-5 start. The team finished 8-9, with the defense allowing its fewest points in a season since 2002.

Antonio Pierce has only been a coach in the NFL for two years. Prior to being hired by the Raiders in 2022 as their linebackers coach, he worked at Arizona State for the previous four years.
Before that he was the head coach at Long Beach Poly High School in California from 2014 to 2017.
For Pierce to be this close to being a full-time NFL head coach with only two years in the NFL and four years in college is pretty amazing.
Good luck, Coach Pierce.
