The Chicago Bears are in a bit of turmoil after the Caleb Williams experiment failed and Matt Eberflus was fired before the season ended. After recently hiring Ben Johnson as their new head coach, the Bears are now on the search for an offensive coordinator. To that end, they conducted an interview with Tennessee Titans quarterback coach Bo Hardegree.
The #Bears have interviewed #Titans QB coach Bo Hardegree for OC, source said. He was on the staff with Ben Johnson with the #Dolphins.
Hardegree has experience with developing QBs. With the #Raiders, he took over play-calling in 2023 and had a winning record with a rookie QB. pic.twitter.com/GeVgz8wBWD

After playing quarterback at the University of Tennessee from 2004-2007, Hardegree was a graduate assistant at Duke University from 2008-2010. After that, he spent one season as a defensive coaching intern with LSU and then two seasons as an offensive coaching intern with the same school.
In 2014, Hardegree entered the NFL as an offensive quality control coach for the Denver Broncos. Since then, he has been a quarterbacks coach, an offensive assistant, and was the interim offensive coordinator for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2023.
Hardegree joined the Titans in 2024 as the quarterbacks coach, bringing him back to the state where he grew up and went to college. If hired by the Bears, it will make the eighth NFL organization Hardegree has been part of.
