The Titans didn’t really do anything well in the loss today
Well, we got to see what the Tennessee Titans offense would look like with a full game from Mason Rudolph. Outside of an eight-play 75-yard touchdown drive in the first half, the offense was terrible. The quarterback isn’t good enough. The line isn’t good enough. The game operation isn’t good enough. It makes sense that they would be bad with all of that.
Another issue this team has is that they are getting whooped in the second half. Part of that is the fact that you have rookie play callers on both sides of the ball. Today the Buffalo Bills got points on every single one of their second half drives. Three of those five were touchdowns. You aren’t going to win many football games with those types of numbers.
It is too early to make any sweeping declarations on this coaching staff, but we need to see them get better as this season goes along. They are constantly going down to the end of the play clock, and they are taking too many timeouts because they can’t get the right personnel in or the right play call in.
I said last week that a loss to the Indianapolis Colts would have them staring 1-6 in the face. Well, they are at 1-5 now with a trip to the Detroit Lions coming up next week. It’s hard to see a scenario where they go in there and win that one.
