Resiliency is a key quality for an NFL starting quarterback.
Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan had a very human reaction to Will Levis’s fumble on Sunday. There has been a ton made of it. It even prompted former Titans quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick to question how Callahan is handling his young quarterback:
I have been trying to figure out what I think about Brian Callahan….admittedly don’t know much about him but watching these three clips esp the press conference clip made my blood boil
It’s difficult to play QB in this league esp as a youngster and there will be lots of growing… pic.twitter.com/Ij93IcXa2f

Paul Kuharsky wrote a really good article about Callahan’s reaction.
In Callahan’s press conference today, he complimented Levis’s resiliency and said that’s an important quality for an NFL starting quarterback to have. Things are going to go wrong when you play that position. The guys that are great are the ones that can bounce back from mistakes and not let them carry over to the next possession.
The real problem with what happened on Sunday was the fact that Levis made a boneheaded decision that led to a turnover for the second straight week. Callahan said you will never see him react like that if Levis throws an interception.
Here’s to hoping we aren’t having to talk about anything like this after Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers.
