NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Where has the time gone? We are almost halfway home in the NFL season.
Your Week 9 NFL Power Rankings…
🏈 TITAN UP all season long with the latest news and notes on the Tennessee Titans
32. Carolina Panthers (1-7) – They have been outscored by a whopping 147 points this season.
31. Tennessee Titans (1-6) – They lost their last two games by a combined 62 points. The loss to the Bills ended with 34 unanswered points, the Lions 38. When they collapse, it’s total.
30. New York Giants (2-6) – I don’t know if I’ve ever seen that many pre-snap penalties in my life. They need to spend the week learning how to legally run an offensive play.
29. New York Jets (2-6) – Winless since firing the head coach and trading for Davante Adams. So…. what’s next?
28. Las Vegas Raider (2-6) – Just one of the teams that will be competing to find a starting quarterback in the off-season.
27. New England Patriots (2-6) – They still might be the worst team in the league, but they won a game, and in case you haven’t noticed there are a bunch of bad teams. So, they are 27.
26. New Orleans Saints (2-6) – This team angers me horribly! I declared them one of the worst teams in the league before the season only to make me eat my words after two weeks. Now, it turns out… I was RIGHT!
25. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-6) – With Christian Kirk done for the season with a broken collarbone, I would think Brian Thomas will be seeing double figure targets each week the rest of the way.
24. Cleveland Browns (2-6) – I don’t know what was more amazing, watching Jameis Winston throw for 300 yards, beat Baltimore or his unbelievably humble post game interview that sounds like it was written for him by Crash Davis on the back of the bus before the game.
23. Miami Dolphins (2-5) – This division was supposed to be the best in the NFL this season, instead this team is in second place!
22. Cincinnati Bengals (3-5) – 0-3 at home this year and three wins over bad teams. If you’re looking for this team to make a run at the playoffs, that may be just wishful thinking.
21. Dallas Cowboys (3-4) – Ceedee Lamb gave fantasy owners the performance they’ve been waiting for, but that’s about it for the Cowboys.
20. Indianapolis Colts (4-4) – Anthony Richardson is not a victim. He didn’t play well enough, that doesn’t mean he can’t one day. It just means they have a quarterback who is capable of completing more than half of his passes at this point.
19. Los Angeles Rams (3-4) – Amazing how different a team can look when it has its weapons on the field.
18. Arizona Cardinals (4-4) – Just quietly staying alive.
17. Seattle Seahawks (4-4) – Three straight home losses.
16. Tampa Bay Bucs (4-4) – We focus on Baker Mayfield because he’s a great story, but they are rushing the ball for over 130 yards a game. That will be key to keeping them afloat while they hash out the injury situation at wide receiver.
15. Los Angeles Chargers (4-3) – They are a very “average” team statistically. Why are do they have a winning record? +6 turnover margin.
14. Chicago Bears (4-3) – They struggled all day at Washington, but I was very impressed with the way Caleb Williams hung in and put the Bears in position to win when it counted.
13. Denver Broncos (5-3) – Defense ranks third in yards, second in sacks and third in points allowed. Glad they have an offensive genius at head coach.
12. San Francisco 49ers (4-4) – Despite all of the injuries and inconsistencies they are #2 in the league on offense.
11. Atlanta Falcons (5-3) – Captain Kirk getting it done. They have scored at least 26 points in four of their last five games winning them all.
10. Philadelphia Eagles (5-2) – Saquan Barkley averaging 5.9 yards per carry. I know Derrick Henry is having a monster year, but don’t sleep on this guy.
9. Houston Texans (6-2) – Let’s see how they do without Diggs and Collins. It hasn’t been the offensive explosion we expected this season.
8. Minnesota Vikings (6-2) – Losing your left tackle is tough, replacing him with a Jacksonville Jaguars is desperate.
7. Pittsburgh Steelers (6-2) – Is it possible Russell Wilson is “good” again?
6. Green Bay Packers (6-2) – Malik Willis to the rescue again. He could be turning into quite a story.
5. Baltimore Ravens (5-3) – How on Earth did this team lose to the Browns? I mean, c’mon guys.
4. Washington Commanders (6-2) – Starting to look like one of those teams of destiny.
3. Buffalo Bills (6-2) – None of it matters until January. The Bills are the class of the AFC East again, but all that matters is can they get by the Ravens and Chiefs.
2. Kansas City Chiefs (7-0) – Patrick Mahomes has eight TD’s and nine INT’s. Normally people would be very concerned, however, the Chiefs are 7-0. So… moving on.
1. Detroit Lions (6-1) – The Motor City Kitties lead the NFL scoring over 33 points per game.
