I guess that’s just the way it goes now
DeAndre Hopkins’s last game with the Tennessee Titans was on October 20th. The Titans lost to the Buffalo Bills 34-10 on that day. There were rumors after the game that Hopkins was benched. He was then traded to the Kansas City Chiefs the next week.
Well, it turns out that Hopkins wasn’t benched. He just quit on the team. Hopkins said last night from Super Bowl media day that he wasn’t happy that he wasn’t getting targets, so he decided he wasn’t going to play the rest of the game. What a gamer!
DeAndre Hopkins explains why he took himself out of the #Titans game versus the Bills, why he requested a trade and why Ran Carthon obliged. Really appreciate his honesty here. pic.twitter.com/7A8vuAEW0q

Look, I get why he was frustrated. He wasn’t getting the ball and the team was terrible, but they were still paying him to go out there and play. What happened to being a good teammate and a leader?
Well, Hopkins got what he wanted. The Titans sent him to the Chiefs for basically nothing and now he is playing in the Super Bowl. He has really been lighting it on fire so far in the playoffs with one catch for 11 yards in the two playoff games. I wonder if he asked out of any of those games….
GO EAGLES!!
