Nuk says he has nothing but love for the Titans.
DeAndre Hopkins had a huge game for the Kansas City Chiefs last night catching 8 passes for 86 yards and two touchdowns in the 30-24 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. There was a lot of hand-wringing from Tennessee Titans fans on Twitter last night about how good Hopkins looked. It really shouldn’t be a surprise that he goes to play with Patrick Mahomes and looks like a different player.
There was also an uproar after he scored his first touchdown and did the Remember the Titans dance. Some people took it as a shot at the Titans. Hopkins said it was actually the opposite of that:
It was a shout to Tennessee, if u know me u know it’s nothing but love for Nashville. Ran and his crew are like family. Without them, I wouldn’t be here. https://t.co/6YqEZlXyn5

It never made sense that it would be anything else. Hopkins did nothing but talk about how much he loved the Titans organization and the city of Nashville while he was here. He is probably extremely grateful that the team was willing to send him somewhere where he has a chance to chase a ring.
Keep in mind that the pick the Titans got from the Chiefs for Hopkins goes from a 5th to a 4th if he plays at least 60% of the snaps and the Chiefs make the Super Bowl. We should all be out here cheering for him to have the most success he can in Kansas City.
