Derrick Henry is ready to move on from the trade rumors that surrounded him earlier this offseason.
The Titans were reportedly interested in dealing Henry and wanted to find a trade partner but nothing came of it. General manager Ron Carthon even said himself that not a single team called with a legitimate offer.
Henry spoke to the media about that situation on Wednesday and said that he just wants to focus on the upcoming season.
When we get here, when we get to football, we’re not worried about that other stuff,” Henry said, (first transcribed by ProFootballTalk).
Henry is hoping to have another big season for the Titans after they missed the playoffs in 2022. He finished with 349 carries for 1,538 yards and 13 touchdowns.
He’s only a couple of seasons removed from rushing for over 2,000 yards so if he can get close to that level again, the Titans should be in good shape.
