The Titans might see the rookie quarterback on Sunday.
Drake Maye had to leave the New England Patriots win over the New York Jets last week after suffering a concussion. Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo told members of the media this morning that Maye will practice on a limited basis today as he works his way through the NFL’s concussion protocol. The fact that he will practice at all today means there is a chance that he will be ready to play against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
Maye was the third overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. He did not start for the Patriots until their sixth game of the season. In the two games that he started and finished he threw for a combined 519 yards with 5 touchdowns and two interceptions. If Maye isn’t able to go, the Titans will face Jacoby Brissett.
Maye was the third quarterback picked in the draft. The other two, Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels, started for their respective teams from day one. The Patriots chose to slow-play it a little more with Maye.
