The Titans will get an up close look at the Colorado quarterback
Tennessee Titans assistant wide receivers coach Payton McCollum will be the assistant quarterbacks coach of the West team at the East-West Shrine Bowl that is taking place on January 30th at 7 PM. It was announced today that Shedeur Sanders will be playing on the West team. This will be a good opportunity for the Titans to get a lot of information about Sanders leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft.
Sanders seems to be pretty widely regarded as the second best quarterback in this draft behind Miami’s Cam Ward. Pretty much every mock draft that has come out that doesn’t have the Titans trading the first overall pick has them picking Ward. Sanders will have a chance to make an impression on McCollum this week in hopes of changing that.
Of course, there is also still the outside chance that the Dallas Cowboys hire Deion Sanders as their head coach and he convinces Jerry Jones to trade for the first overall pick in the draft. The Cowboys have the 12th pick in the draft. It would take quite the haul for Dallas to move up to number one, which is exactly what the Titans would need to rebuild their depleted roster.
