After a rough preseason, the Cleveland Browns decided to release starting kicker Cade York after acquiring another kicker in a trade. But it looks like York will land on his feet (no pun intended).
According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Tennessee Titans will be signing York to their practice squad. The move comes after the Titans acquired former Pro Bowl kicker Nick Folk in a trade with the New England Patriots.
York was a sixth-round pick out of LSU in the 2022 NFL Draft. As a rookie he was pretty unremarkable, converting just 75-percent of his field goals and missing two extra points.
But York also demonstrated a very powerful leg. He converted a 58-yard field goal and converted four of seven field goals from 50-plus yards.

They also traded a 2025 7th-round pick to New England yesterday for kicker Nick Folk.

The Cleveland Browns will now be moving forward with Dustin Hopkins as their starting kicker after acquiring him in a trade with the Los Angeles Chargers.
Meanwhile, York will likely have to wait for Folk to struggle or for another team to claim him off the Titans’ practice squad.
Will Cade York kick in 2023?
