The Titans 2024 first-round pick sure looks like a good one.
The Tennessee Titans‘ number one priority this offseason was fixing the offensive line. The entire unit was terrible in 2023. That led them to pick JC Latham in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. There were a lot of questions about Latham when the pick was made – the biggest was how his transition to left tackle would go after he played right tackle at Alabama.
Well, it turns out that transition has gone quite well for the rookie. After struggling in the season opener against the Chicago Bears, Latham has been really good. Yesterday in the win over the New England Patriots, he gave up just three pressures and zero sacks in a game where Mason Rudolph dropped back to pass more than 35 times.
The Titans still have some questions on the offensive line. They are going to have to find a right tackle this offseason, but through eight games it sure looks like they have found their left tackle for the next decade.
Oh, and Peter Skoronski has been playing pretty well next to him as well after struggling early in the season. We can debate the merits of picking a guard at #11, but they look to have a really solid start to a good offensive line with the first round picks from the last two drafts.
