In two weeks as the Tennessee Titans’ starting quarterback, Will Levis has looked pretty darn good, going 1-1 and completing 60-percent of his passes for 500 yards and four touchdowns. But with longtime starter Ryan Tannehill now healthy, who will head coach Ryan Tannehill pick to start moving forward?
On Tuesday, Vrabel announced his decision. Levis will be the starting quarterback while Tannehill will serve as the backup.
Tannehill started the first six weeks of the season, going 2-4 as a starter while completing 62-percent of his passes with two touchdowns and six interceptions. But an injury he suffered before the Titans’ bye week paved the way for the rookie from Kentucky to take the reins and he’s done a lot with it so far.
In his debut against the Atlanta Falcons, Levis threw for four touchdowns in a thrilling win. The Titans fell short against the Steelers four days later on a short week.
Titans’ HC Mike Vrabel named Will Levis the starting QB and Ryan Tannehill the backup.

Benching Ryan Tannehill for Will Levis almost certainly spells the end for Tannehill as the Titans’ permanent starter. The 35-year-old quarterback was already in the midst of his final year under contract.
So unless Levis plays himself out of the job or suffers an injury, it’s his team for the foreseeable future.
