Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel is excited for DeAndre Hopkins to visit the team next week but did have a message for him on Wednesday.
When Vrabel was speaking to the media, he said that he wants players who actually want to play for the Titans. He’s not interested in anything else.
“The first thing is we want players that want to be here,” Vrabel said, (first transcribed by ProFootballTalk). “We’ll work through anything else. We brought in a bunch of different players, and DeAndre will be somebody that we’ll bring in next week, early next week, at the end of this week, and go through the same visit we’ll go through with everybody and start the process.”
Hopkins is set to visit the Titans on Sunday when he flies to Nashville, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. This will be his first visit with a team since he was released by the Arizona Cardinals in May.

Hopkins is super familiar with the Titans since he spent seven seasons with the Houston Texans before he was dealt to the Cardinals. He played 14 games against them and was always a thorn in their side.
If the Titans impress him enough, then there’s a good chance he could join them and potentially cause havoc on the other AFC South teams.
