Not so fast on rookie Will Levis making his first career start for the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, per head coach Mike Vrabel.
After NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday morning that Levis will start against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, Vrabel told reporters his mind is not made up.
The veteran coach had previously said that if starter Ryan Tannehill (ankle) can’t play, both Levis and second-year backup Malik Willis would see time.
Tannehill will attempt to do some work at practice this afternoon, Vrabel said.
Mike Vrabel: Never said QB Will Levis was going to start. Said Will Levis and Malik Willis will play if Ryan Tannehill can’t play. Ryan may do some things in practice.

Levis was the No. 33 overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft. The Titans made him the fourth quarterback selected with the second pick of the second round.
The former Kentucky standout has not seen regular season game action yet, but that will change if Tannehill can’t play. Even if Levis doesn’t start, Vrabel has said he intends to use both quarterbacks.
Tennessee and Atlanta will kick off at 1 p.m. ET Sunday from Nashville.
