There’s a new regime in Tennessee with Brian Callahan taking over as head coach of the Titans. But will the new era of Titans football include star running back Derrick Henry?
Appearing on 102.5 The Game in Nashville, Callahan made it clear that he would like to have the two-time NFL rushing champion on the team. His message was that he would never “say ‘no’ to good players.”
“I think a player like Derrick Henry fits in every offense. He’s been a remarkable player. He’s been the face of franchise here for a long time… If he is open to a return that fits for us, I’m never going to say no to good players. I know that he’s been an incredible leader in this building…” Callahan said.
While those are certainly some nice things that Callahan said about Henry, the statement isn’t a long-term contract that Henry probably wants.

Derrick Henry is the No. 2 leading rusher in Titans history and their all-time leader in rushing touchdowns. He only needs 500 yards to surpass Eddie George as the franchise’s all-time leading rusher.
But Henry has also subtly indicated that he might have played his final game for the team.
“I hope I was an inspiration to all the young kids,” Henry said after their season-ending win over the Jaguars.
Have we seen the last of Derrick Henry in a Titans uniform?
