Commanders
Commanders HC Dan Quinn was asked about the team’s recent trade additions of LT Laremy Tunsil and WR Deebo Samuel, who are expected to give the playoff team more offensive power in 2025.
“What a cool addition to add somebody of Laremy’s caliber to play the position,” Quinn said, via CommandersWire.com. “Everyone knows it’s one of the hardest spots, and he’s done it at such a high level. So, to add guys like Laremy and Deebo into this crew and have them be part of how we are doing things moving forward, Kudos to Adam and his staff for adding to a really cool team.”
Cowboys
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he’s had direct conversations with LB Micah Parsons regarding a contract extension.
“I’ve spent five, six hours with him myself,” Jones said, via Tommy Yarrish of the team’s website. “Had a lot of discussions, most of the issues we’re in agreement on, and I’ve discussed it all. But we obviously don’t have an agreement relative to a new contract, Micah’s under contract, and so we’ll see how that goes. It’s not uncommon for me to visit directly with players, and in this particular case, that’s the way I’m doing it.”
Jones added that he doesn’t view Parsons’ extension as urgent and said that he would rather take his time ensuring the extension was done properly.
“I don’t view it as urgent at all,” Jones said of coming to an agreement with Parsons. “Some say using the basis that the earlier you get something done the cheaper, well the earlier you get something done, a lot of times the more mistakes you make. You might want to see a few more cards play, not just with that particular negotiation, but with the whole team. I know I’m kind of being a little defensive here, but the idea that the only success is getting a contract done at an early time is incorrect, I’d rather pay more and get it right than I had pay less and screw it up.”
Jones also mentioned that the amount they would pay Parsons has no bearing on their plans for extensions with other players.
“Not at all, we’ve got him covered if it’s a franchise number, we’ve got that covered all the way through,” Jones said when asked if Parsons’ contract was a prerequisite for other players. “It is absolutely non-essential to have a deal with Micah as far as structuring our salary cap over the next year or two.”

- NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport says Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart has spent “extensive time” with the Giants and Browns as he preps for his Pro Day.
- ESPN’s Rich Cimini brought up the idea of the Jets trading for Giants WR Jalin Hyatt with their lack of receiving playmakers outside of WR Garrett Wilson: “A name to watch … Jalin Hyatt with the Giants … could be the odd man out in that receiver situation, especially if they go out and draft like a Travis Hunter. … (Hyatt is) more of a vertical threat than anything else.”
- Per Adam Schefter, Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders is repeatedly being linked to the Giants and he doesn’t expect that to change regardless of what quarterbacks they end up adding to the roster.

- Giants QB Jameis Winston, when asked if he knew the team would sign another quarterback: “I knew a free agent signing was going to come or maybe even a draft pick was going to come. But that’s their business. My business is today … finally becoming a Giant.” (Mike Garafolo)
- Giants HC Brian Daboll is unsure if WR Lil’Jordan Humphrey will fully convert to tight end and has been gaining weight to potentially switch positions: “We’ll see. He’s a big body guy. So we’ll get him into the program and we’ll see where he’s at.” (Chris Tomasson)
