Every team in the NFL has at least one area of need to focus on during the offseason. For some teams, it’s more than one area, but there’s always one spot that needs more love than the rest.
To that end, The 33rd Team released its list of each team’s biggest need this offseason, and no one will be surprised by the Tennessee Titans’ answer.
Biggest Need: Quarterback
The Tennessee Titans own the No. 1 pick for a reason. The quarterback position was one of the worst in the NFL, and Will Levis took a major step backward in Year 2.
Adding a dynamic quarterback option is the only way the Titans will escape the AFC basement.
Not only did Will Levis take a step back, but he received very little help from his supporting cast. The offensive line was atrocious, receivers dropped passes, and the best thing about the Titans’ offense in 2024 was Tony Pollard.
The Titans have a lot of areas to work on this offseason, but even they have already noted the quarterback position is the top priority, which will be supplemented by solidifying the offensive line.
It’s unfair to place the blame solely on the quarterback when that position was sacked 52 times in 2024, an average of three sacks per game.
So, yes, the quarterback spot is the biggest need the Titans need to fix this offseason. Whether they can get Levis up to speed or find an answer through free agency or the draft, the play under center has to improve for the Titans to be successful in 2025.
