Every year, the NFL reviews the salary cap and determines how much of an increase to include based on various financial factors throughout the league. The 2025 NFL year starts next month, and on Wednesday, the league announced the new increase.
The NFL today informed teams that the 2025 per-team salary cap will fall in the range of $277.5 million to $281.5 million, way up from last year’s $255.4 million. Cap will have increased by more than $53 million over the last two years.

We’re getting a range instead of an actual number because the league office is waiting to hear from the NFL Players Association on how it wants to reinstate the 2025 deferral.

So, as soon as the league gets confirmation from the NFLPA, teams will learn the actual salary cap increase. As it stands, the minimum increase would be over $22 million. That means the Titans will have over $51 million in cap space to work with by 2025, according to Over the Cap.
Considering the amount of work Mike Borgonzi and Brian Callahan must do, the increase is most welcome in Tennessee.
