The Titans should be actively looking to move both guys.
Today is the trade deadline in the NFL. The Tennessee Titans have already been active his year moving both DeAndre Hopkins and Ernest Jones last month. Two additional guys they could move today are Arden Key and Sebastian Joseph-Day. Jeremy Fowler is reporting that the Titans have been getting calls on Joseph-Day this week.
I’ve said multiple times that the Titans should be actively looking to move anyone who isn’t on a rookie contract. They don’t have that many pieces that teams will be looking to acquire, but Key and Joseph-Day could certainly help teams looking to upgrade their pass rush. Key has had the best two games of his Titans tenure in the last two weeks. It seems that the chance to play for a contender has sparked a fire for him.
Key has one year remaining on the deal he signed before last season, but the team acquiring him would have an easy out after this season. Joseph-Day is on a 1-year deal, so he would absolutely be a rental for a team that trades for him.
Chad Brinker is on record saying he would like to have double-digit picks in the upcoming draft. Neither of these guys are going to bring a huge return, but adding some day 3 picks would help Brinker and Ran Carthon have some ammo to move around in the draft if that is what they choose to do.
