Seems like a number the Titans should have been willing to match
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine has agreed to terms with the Miami Dolphins. The deal is reportedly for 2-years and $6.5 million with $3.2 million guaranteed. That is a deal that it seems like the Titans should have been willing to match. NWI has been a solid player for them since he joined the team in 2020 and caught nine touchdowns last season to lead the team.
The only reason I can think of that the Titans weren’t willing to beat that offer is that they are just going to take the offense in a completely different direction. NWI is a solid – possession-type receiver. They do need to add speed at the position, but they also need bodies that can actually go out there and play. Behind Calvin Ridley they now have basically zero experience in the wide receiver room.
I am sure the Titans have a plan for what they want to do at positions like wide receiver, quarterback, and EDGE, I just have no idea what that plan is right now.
