Before they were the Tennessee Titans, they were the Tennessee Oilers and before that the Houston Oilers from their founding in 1960 to their Nashville move in 1996. This year their heritage as the Oilers will be honored with a special throwback uniform.
Earlier this offseason the Titans teased that they would be unveiling their new throwback uniform to commemorate the Oilers on July 24. But someone seems to have gotten hold of a leaked image.
The NFL Fashion Advice Twitter account shared the image, which features the Titans’ classic baby blue main color along with touches of white and red. On the collar you can see the words “Love ya blue!” in homage to the team’s old catchphrase.
Fans love the uniform, but some feel that the uniform should belong in Houston rather than in Nashville.

“seems wrong given the move but they are pretty,” one user replied.
“Texans should’ve gotten these. Minnesota Wild was able to use North Stars branding despite the original team moving to Dallas,” wrote another.
“Titans have such an ugly uniform but now they get a top 5 of all time for a throwback,” a third wrote.
What do you think about the new jersey?
