After the Washington Commanders defeated the Detroit Lions to advance to the NFC championship game on Saturday night, FOX NFL insider Jay Glazer had a bombshell report.
Glazer revealed that the Chicago Bears will interview former NFL star running back and Tennessee Titans legend Eddie George on Sunday for their vacant head coaching position.

It’s unknown if this will be a virtual or in-person interview with George.
A former Heisman Trophy winner at Ohio State, George was a first-round pick by the Houston Oilers (now the Titans) in the 1996 NFL draft. George spent eight seasons with the Titans, starting every game and rushing for over 1,000 yards in all but one season. In 2001, George rushed for 939 yards.
He finished his NFL career playing one season with the Dallas Cowboys in 2004.
George finished his NFL career with 10,441 rushing yards and 68 rushing touchdowns.
The Titans’ legend got into coaching in 2021, taking over at Tennessee State, where he has amassed a 24-22 record. However, in 2024, George was named the Big South-OVC Coach of the Year with a 9-4 record. He’s helped dramatically improve the Tigers the last two years, including a playoff berth last season.
The Bears fired head coach Matt Eberflus during the season and have interviewed several coaches since the conclusion of the 2024 regular season.
