Mason Rudolph’s time with the Pittsburgh Steelers has come to an end.
According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the Tennessee Titans have signed Rudolph to a one-year, $3.62 million deal.
Rudolph, a former third-round pick from Oklahoma State, finished his time in Pittsburgh with 3,085 passing yards, 19 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
Even though Rudolph never reached his full potential in Pittsburgh, he did finish the 2023 regular season on a high note. He went 3-0 as the team’s starter and put up a respectable fight against the Buffalo Bills in the Wild Card round of the playoffs.
After the Steelers were eliminated from the playoffs, Rudolph said he’ll always have love for the franchise that drafted him in 2018.
“I love the Pittsburgh Steelers. They’ve been my only home for six years,” Rudolph said, via All Steelers. “We’ll see what happens. It’s not really my decision. A lot of it’s out of my control so we’ll see what happens.”
Rudolph will have a chance to prove his worth in Tennessee. The Titans don’t have a ton of experience in their quarterback room, which currently features Will Levis.
The Steelers, on the other hand, appear to be content with their quarterback situation. They’re expected to let Kenny Pickett and Russell Wilson battle for the starting job during training camp.
