Reports emerged during the Combine on Sunday afternoon that Tennessee has set the schedule to host several vital prospects this week and beyond. The Titans’ design of the critical “30” prospect visits is not a giant leap of faith to determine certain things. Free agency is next week, so the importance of these significant visits cannot be stressed enough. Can they complete the marathon sprint of how to proceed in a short amount of time? Time will tell.
Tennessee Titans Set Schedule With Four Critical Prospect Visits
Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer confirmed the Titans’ visit plans on Monday morning through his Twitter/X account.
In here we have the Titans’ scheduled 30 visits.
• Thursday: Penn State DE Abdul Carter.
• Friday: Miami QB Cam Ward.
• Monday: Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders.Colorado WR/CB Travis Hunter will visit in two weeks. This is aggressively early for 30 visits. Reasoning

March 10th signals the beginning of the tampering period. OverTheCap says the Titans have over $50 million in cap space. Tennessee must address several holes that have plagued the roster, and if needed, it could free up more money. According to Paul Kuharsky, the Titans won’t be in the market for an expensive veteran quarterback like Sam Darnold so the draft could provide some clarity.
The Quarterbacks
Cam Ward
It is an open secret that Cam Ward “separated” from the pack as the leading contender for being the first passer taken in April. He has openly stated his desire to become the first overall selection, no matter who takes him. He briefly spoke about potentially becoming a Tennessee Titan at the Combine.

According to NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe, who possesses extensive experience in the Miami area, the Titans are enamored with Ward.
Cameron Wolfe is reporting that one of the meetings that really stood out to Titans brass was Miami QB Cam Ward.

Tennessee is in an interesting spot. They desperately need a new signal caller to lead their franchise after the Will Levis era failed to impress. Ward could be that guy they seek as they head into a future with a new stadium. Should the Titans stick with the top selection? Is there a potential future with the former Hurricanes star leading the way for a revitalized organization under new leadership?
Shedeur Sanders
Tennessee has been causally linked to the Colorado superstar passer throughout the process but is a more frequent target for teams below them. Jeremy Fowler and Turron Davenport of ESPN have written an insider’s view of Tennessee’s quarterback situation. They write the following about Sanders and Ward,
“Ward is the consensus No. 1 quarterback in the draft — by a comfortable margin, according to some. But Sanders’ pocket-passing ability as a deft processor is appreciated and will make for an easy NFL transition, thus he becomes a slightly better fit for a Brian Callahan offense in Tennessee, according to multiple scouts.”
It’s certainly possible that Sanders is in a better situation to fit Coach Callahan’s system than Ward. The former Colorado star had a slightly worse offensive line to contend with, and the Buffaloes’ offensive line woes repeatedly left Sanders out to dry. While both passers aren’t statues, they can maneuver around the pocket adeptly. Davenport writes that Sanders could be the better system fit but cautions that won’t be the determining factor.
“Sanders’ three best attributes — processing, timing and accuracy — are the pillars Callahan emphasizes in quarterback play. This is one reason some believe Sanders would be the better fit for Callahan’s scheme. But scheme fit doesn’t cement Sanders as the pick.”
Abdul Carter
Carter is arguably the best player in the 2025 NFL Draft class but has been slowed by injury. His shoulder injury in the College Football Playoff limited him in the semifinal. The Combine medical testing revealed that he had a stress reaction in his right foot. Tennessee will do its due medical due diligence to clarify that none of his injuries are long-term. When he’s healthy, Carter is a terrifying pass rusher with the talent to change games instantly. It’s a precise fit between the team and the need for a pass rusher since Harold Landry was told to seek greener pastures elsewhere.
Travis Hunter
Hunter is the reigning Heisman Trophy winner and has several other awards, like the Biletnikoff Trophy. The dual-threat superstar is a generational athlete who can do everything on the field. Although he hasn’t been mocked by the Titans frequently, he is a target, given his tremendous abilities. He would immediately upgrade either side of the ball for Tennessee’s beleaguered franchise. Should a trade-down occur, it would behoove the Titans to do their work on him.
