A concussion that Houston Texans star rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud sustained this past week hasn’t resolved the way the team has wanted it to and it’s going to cost him a key game.
On Saturday, the Texans announced that Stroud did not travel to Tennessee for tomorrow’s game against the Tennessee Titans. He has been ruled out for the game, along with starting offensive tackle George Fant.
“T George Fant (hip/illness) and QB C.J. Stroud (concussion) did not travel to Tennessee and have been downgraded to out for #HOUvsTEN. CB Steven Nelson (wrist) has been added to the injury report and is now questionable.
With Stroud out, the starting nod will go to veteran Davis Mills, who has just five wins in 26 starts. He went 1 of 5 for four yards in the Texans’ loss to the Jets this past week.

At 7-6 on the season, the Texans are still very much in the AFC South title race. But a loss to the Titans tomorrow would be a big step back in their division title ambitions.
Will Davis Mills be able to lead the Texans to victory tomorrow, or will they go back to being a .500 team after the weekend?
