The 2024 NFL season is officially in the books and teams are starting to work on building their 90-man offseason roster.
The NFL never stops and teams are constantly making changes. Some players have already been added with reserve/futures contracts, but more transactions will be on the horizon as teams make changes before the start of free agency.
This is also the start of the NFL’s waiver period for the 2025 league year, and the Tennessee Titans will have a premium spot for any waiver claims.
The Titans will select first based on the tiebreaker, which is strength of schedule (.522). Cleveland (.536) will select second, followed by the Giants (.554).
The NFL’s waiver period for the 2025 league year begins now.
From today through Wk 3 of the 2025 season, waiver priorities will follow the 1st round Draft sequence.
Thats good news for the #Titans, who get top priority on all waived players until at least October.#SuperBowl…

Based on the 2025 NFL draft order, the Titans will have the top waiver position for the remainder of the offseason through Week 3 of the 2025 regular season. This should work to the Titans’ advantage as they attempt to retool their roster.
This may not mean a ton, but when you are rebuilding any advantage will help.
