Cam Ward, come on down!
Jim Wyatt reported today that the Tennessee Titans have canceled the private workout they had scheduled with Shedeur Sanders. This really should not come as a surprise with all of the developments we have seen over the last few weeks. Anyone with a pulse is predicting that the Titans will take Cam Ward with the first pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Titans were represented at Colorado’s Pro Day yesterday, but they did not send nearly the same contingent there as they did to Ward’s Pro Day. Most notably, head coach Brian Callahan was not in Boulder yesterday.
It is unlikely the Titans will come out and declare their intention to take Ward with the first pick before they turn in the card. That is in large part because the NFL doesn’t want it officially out there too far ahead of the production. It is probably also because there is still an outside chance that a team could knock their socks off with an offer to move up. That feels increasingly unlikely with each passing day.
