At 5-11, the Tennessee Titans’ season is over following this Sunday’s regular season finale.
While the team may have nothing important to play for, head coach Mike Vrabel made it clear that winning this weekend is still desired.
When columnist Gentry Estes asked why finishing on a high note is so important, Vrabel’s response was clear.
“It sucks to lose. It f—–g sucks. Losing. Awful. That’s why I want to win,” Vrabel said. “Because you don’t sleep. You want to win for the players that bust their tail. That’s it.”

Vrabel continued with a longer answer, which you can see in full below.
His display of emotion right at the beginning is going to be the headliner though.
Heading into the finale of a tough season, Mike Vrabel said today the Titans need to win Sunday for a lot of reasons.

Under Vrabel, the Titans made the playoffs from 2019-21 after narrowly missing the postseason at 9-7 in his first season at the helm in 2018.
Tennessee failed to reach the playoffs last year, finishing 7-10. This year’s losing campaign marks the first time the franchise has lost double-digit games in back-to-back seasons since 2014-15.
The Titans will close out the regular season against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon.
