Another brutal Sunday
Well, Jeffery Simmons said back in October that no one runs on the Tennessee Titans. That has proven to be one of the most inaccurate statements in the history of football. Today the Indianapolis Colts rushed for 335 yards. Jonathan Taylor had 29 carries for 218 yards and 3 touchdowns. The defensive effort was pretty terrible today. Dennard Wilson, who came here with the hopes of building up his resume to become a head coach, has really struggled to have answers most of the season.
The Titans ended the day with 307 yards of total offense. Mason Rudolph threw two touchdowns and three interceptions. One of the interceptions came on a ball that bounced off of Tony Pollard’s hands and one came on the last play of the game. Rudolph is just playing out the rest of the season here. There really isn’t much of a reason to break down his play.
Chig Okonkwo had nine catches for 81 yards, and the team deserves some level of credit for fighting back at the end of the game. Those are the only almost positives to take away from what we saw today.
Amy Adams-Strunk, who hasn’t been very good at making decisions, is going to have some pretty tough decisions to make at the end of the season. I have been in the camp of this group deserve another year before you give up on them, but that camp is getting harder and harder to live in with each passing week.
